Intermediate Modeling Equipment

An intermediate level modeler should have at the all of the items listed below at the least.

• Tweezers
• Ex-acto knife
• putty knife
• fine detail brush or brushes
• wider brush
• airbrush (preferable a metal one)
• paint thinner
• scotch tape
• all paints required by the model and a few more
• liquid model cement
• 150-600 grit sandpaper
• Several primary model colors in spray cans.  (usually black, silver, olive drab etc.)
• scribing tool
• filler putty

These the items you will need to make a model look much better.   Below are some items that you may want.

• pin-n-stick part holding rods
• liquid masking film
• paint mixing bottles
• turkey baster
• car polish
• more paint
• metalizers

The turkey baster is good for mixing your paints into the airbrush bottle, the liquid masking film will probably come in handy for masking windows, the car polish will take off unwanted paint and the metalizers are good for make models look like, well....bare metal.
