I just have a few minutes this morning but I wanted
to share with you an
incredible incident that I just heard.
My brother has been dating a girl (we'll call
her Delores) for almost a year now.
She volunteered to go to Texas to assist during
the floods.
While she was there she was in a terrible automobile
accident.
She spent several days in the hospital.
When she was hit by another car, she was knocked
unconscious. Therefore, she
didn't know all the details of the accident.
But at the time of the accident, a passerby,
came along with his six year old son. And ran
to her rescue.
Unfortunately, the little boy was struck by another
car and died.
"Delores" later received a card from the mother
of that little boy ...thanking her
for being there when her son "lept into the arms
of Jesus".
What a testimony! Not being an "active"
believer (not knowing that Jesus is
Savior and Lord) "Delores" wrestled with a little
guilt over the loss of a child
because of her accident.
With the arrival of that Mother's card, "Delores"
got a huge dose of true "thanksgiving."
We are in awe of how a parent can react in such
a manner. Praise the Lord! Made me cry...

But isn't this exactly what our Heavenly Father did.
When He saw us in a wreck, hurt by sin and destined to die.
He ran to our rescue and by the death of His Son Jesus, we live.
We are forgiven and there is healing. We are eternally thankful!
