The Railroad operates in conjunction with
Little Amerricka Amusement Park. The
amusement park operates from Memorial
Day weekend through Labor Day
weekend,
12:00 noon - 6:00 PM. Steam locomotives
are normally run on the weekends, with diesel
units operated during the weekdays. The
Whiskey River Railway is
operated and
maintained with the help of volunteer members.
If you are interested in volunteering on the
railroad, stop on by and visit with one of our
train crew
members during regular operating
hours. We will be glad to give you more information.
The railroad is also the home of Merrick
Light Railway Equipment Works.
See the
shops where 1/3 size steam, diesel, and car
equipment, are still being built.
