0224 Consumer HomemakingConsumer Homemaking focuses on the orientation to foods and nutrition, consumer education, clothing selection, basic clothing skills, child development, personal development, family relations, and Future Homemakers of America.  To get full credit, both semesters of the course must be passed.

0228 Food & Nutrition.  Food and Nutrition covers the basic principles of nutrition, meal planning, table service, etiquette, food buying, measuring, sanitation, safety, and equipment.  Emphasis is placed on foods served with an international flair - Mexican, New Orleans, Italian, Oriental, French, Soul Food, German, Russian, and American.

0221 Advanced Food & Nutrition.  Advanced food preparation with a gourmet touch is the focus of this course.  Emphasis is placed on yeast breads, desserts, pastries, candies, garnishes, party planning, napkin folding, menu writin, nutrition and new equipment.  Participation in lab is mandatory.
Prerequisite:  Food & Nutrition and/or Consumer Homemaking  FEE:  $10.00

Parenting Classes --- Male students are also interested in the various parenting skills in order to become great fathers one day.
Studying about food and nutrition in the classroom.  Group projects are sometimes more interesting.
Students in parenting class carry their babies (dolls) around for one week and document the various responsibilities they encountered.
Students work on various hands on projects in Food, Science, Parenting and Family Life classes.
Food Science --- Students are getting ready for their daily walk.  The relationship between daily exercise and good health are stressed.
