A tree frog is an amphibian. They are light green and very smooth. Their body can get up to 13 centimeters and 2 inches long.
The tree frog lives in a rain forest habitat. Tree frogs are usually
found in rain forests in North and South America. They live on the
forest floor.
The prey, or food ,of the tree frog can be found in it's habitat. The
tree frogs prey are insects and other small animals. Tree frogs catch
their prey by gliding tree to tree.
A tree frog has to be careful of it's predators, or it's enemies. The
predators of a tree frog are tigers, jaguars, and toucans. Tree frogs
protect themselfs by blending in with the leaves.
I learned many interesting facts about my animals. Tree frogs throat
swells up like a big balloon. In Germany they keep tree frogs in jars
with a ladder and water. When the tree frogs climb the ladder meant
weather would change, but it probably wanted to get out! lays its
eggs under leaves that hang over water. As they hatch, the tadpoles
fall in the water below. The tree frogs protects it skin from the
sun, just as we do it makes a waxy fatty lotion that it wipes all
over its body.
