A Leopard is a mammal. They have black spots and yellow or tan coats and 4 legs. A leopard weights 65 to 175 pounds and the length is 3 to 5 feet long.

The leopard lives in a rain forest habitat. A leopard lives in Africa and Asia. It lives in the trees and on the ground.

The prey, or food, of the leopard can be found in it's habitat. A leopard eats deer, antelope, baboons, monkeys, rodents and birds. A leopard pounces on its food from up in the tree. They carry 80 to 150 pound prey up into 12 to 20 feet trees.

A leopard has to be careful of its predators, or its enemies. A leopards predators are hunters, jackals, hyena and it runs away from them to help keep its self safe.

I learned many interesting facts about my animal. A leopard uses its back muscles and back legs to jump on their prey. Their shoulder is up to 28 inches and their smell gives them a alert where their prey is. The leopard is third largest cat in the cat family.
