A Poison Dart Frog is a reptile. The poison dart frog's length is up to 14 inches long. Phyllobates terribilis is the largest and it can grow to be more then a foot long. They are bright colored like: yellow, black, blue, orange, green, and other different colors.

The poison dart frog lives in a rain forest habitat. It can be found in Columbia, South America. The level of the rain forest it lives on is the forest floor.

The prey, or food, of the poison dart frog can be found in it's habitat. The poison dart frog eats ants, and other anthropods. Anthropods are invertebrates, such as insects, crustaceans or spiders.

A poison dart frog has to be careful of its predators, or its enemies. My animal doesn't have any animal predators. But it has predators; us. The people who cut down trees in the rain forest are damaging the rain forest and damaging the animals home, so that is the predator.

I learned many interesting facts about my animal. The deadliest poison comes from the Phyllobates terribilis. Just one touch can kill many people. Indians in Northwestern Columbia used poison on bowl pipe darts, used against they enemies. The only animal that dares to come close is the frog eating snake. That doesn't seem to be bothered by the poison. Poison dart frogs lay their eggs on the ground. Tadpoles hatch and parents pick them up on there backs and take them to the river.
