Dear Brothers,

It’s a new year and time to look back and reflect on our accomplishments as well as our losses, the losses I am referring to are our fellow brothers, lets keep them in our hearts and thoughts as we move on.
In an effort to increase our membership numbers I challenge each and every one of you to make a genuine effort to bring in two (2) new members. I would like to see our lodge grow, lack of growth will only result in our not being here in the future, and that would be a sad day if it were to happen. I’m confident that if each one of us put forth a sincere and honest effort we could get some new members.
I think some more activities would help, for instance, monthly family dinners, spring and fall dance, pot luck dinner, weenie roast, watermelon festival, chili cook-off or a Barbeque contest and garage sale. These are all good family outings that we are missing out on in more ways than one. Over half the things I mentioned could be great ways to make money for our various causes.
Having said that, it brings me to my last matter of business, we need to get together and get our new building UP! Even if we have to down size and add on later. A new building would help attract new members, as well as make having these social and community based functions allot easier and more convenient for everyone, but as long as we don’t have a building with easy accessibility for these things we are just plain missing out. So, we need to get busy and get the new building up.

Lebanon Encampment #166 assisted by Springfield and Hartville, will host a degree rally on June 13th beginning at 10:00 am. All 3 degrees will be conferred. If you have candidates please notify Stephen Nichols GJW in advance, 417-588-3758. All encampment members are encouraged to attend.
