The Swan Mission Search and Rescue
Association is a nonprofit organization that is funded entirely through donations.
We receive NO tax funds from the State or County. Our group occasionally
holds fundraisers to help finance our day to day operations. We regularly
attend the Swan Lake Huckleberry Festival sponsored by the Swan Lake Chamber
of Commerce in Swan Lake Montana. We also hold raffles quite often for
items such as 4X4 ATV's, rifles, art work, and other donated items.
We are currently trying to raise money
for a Search and Rescue building. We have operated out of members
houses and various fire halls over the last 30 years and the SMSAR has never
had a home to call our own. We are trying to raise $250,000 for a building
and land. Any donations (or long term leases) of land and or buildings
in Bigfork, or Swan Lake area would be most welcome.
Swan Mission Search and Rescue will also
accept any donation of funds, vehicles, or equipment. We currently
have one Rescue vehicle which is a 1970 International 4X4 with over 170,000
miles, and one 1990 Suburban with over 200,000 miles. We have received
may donations of equipment over the years and wish to express our deepest
thanks to those who have made our mission a little easier.
Any donations should be made out to Swan Mission Search and Rescue Association and should be mailed to the PO Box shown below. For donations of equipment or supplies, please contact our Equipment Officer John "Jack" Ganiere at (406) 837-6818.
All donations are tax deductible.
