Hello, my name is Travis and I own a motorcycle. Im going to tell you how to ride a motorcycle.
First you need to know how to start your motorcycle. Some motorcycles are key starts. Others, though, are kick-starts. On kick-starts you need to make sure the fuel is turned to "ON." Then you would twist the bar on the left side of the bike, and use your foot to shove it down (it helps to straighten your leg).
If your bike has a thing on the left handlebar that looks like a brake handle pull that (its the clutch). Then shift up or down (push down if the shift pattern is 1 down and 4/5 up), give a little gas like youre accelerating, and slowly let off the clutch. You will begin to move. That is how to shift.
Now well go over how to turn. When you want to turn you just turn the handlebars and lean some. At first you wont feel comfortable turning very hard, but you will get over that.
When you want to stop you must pull the brake. The front brake is more powerful than the back. Dont pull the front brake very hard on gravel because it will skid, which is scary and dangerous.
If youre going over bumps, stand and use your arms and legs as shock absorbers.
If you want to jump, you need speed, skill, and you need to stand up like on bumps. It helps to give a bit more gas right before you hit the jump. To land you need to stay standing and use your arms and legs like shock absorbers just like on bumps.
You need the right sized bike for your size. You should be able to touch the ground when on the bike, but you shouldnt have to bend your knees.
Thats almost everything you need to know to ride a motorcycle.
