"This will show them!" Kara thought as she hammered the last nail into place.

She was always told that she couldn’t build anything. She’s going to show everyone!

"Mommy, what’s sissy doing?" asked Jenny, Kara’s little sister.

"Building a tree house." Her mom said.

"I’m going to show everyone!" Kara said.

At school the next day, it was the same old routine. Everybody said, "You won’t be anything when you grow up ‘cause you’re stupid!" Then everybody laughed at her.

That went on all day, but she was used to it. After school, she finished it up, and painted it.

The next day Kara convinced some kids to come over, and see her tree house. When they tried to climb the swinging ladder, they couldn’t. "Now who’s dumb and stupid?!" Kara exclaimed. Then every one became her friend.
