The Emerald of Light

I didn’t know my leg was hanging over the side of my bed until that icy hand wrapped around it and pulled me under.
Hi! I’m Jenson and I used to be a normal kid until my 16th birthday. I had opened all my presents and I was getting in bed. That is when it happened; that icy hand grabbed my leg and started to pull. I tried to hang on, but the force overpowered me. When I opened my eyes I was in a dark, swampy forest. I looked around and saw a tall husky man.
Just then I got a chill, so I buttoned my coat and walked toward him. When I got to him, he started talking about controlling the world. I thought he was crazy but after I talked to him a while, I realized he wasn’t a man but a monster. He told me about an emerald of light and what it did. He said it was the biggest source of power in the world and he wanted it. So he sent me out to get it with all the supplies I needed.
I looked and looked. One day I walked around a corner and there it was.
I brought it to the monster and he let me go.
I returned to my house and saw cops everywhere. I went to my mom and she hugged me until I felt like I was going to pop. The cops left and everyone calmed down. My mom asked me where I was, but I didn’t think she’d believe me.
