Blue Spruce!

· Full Grown Size: The Blue Spruce can grow up to 100 ft.-120 ft. tall. The largest blue spruce ever recorded was 126 ft. tall and 5 ft. in diameter!
· Bark: The bark of a blue spruce is similar to the white spruce except it is more brittle and knotty, it grows in "hard to get to" places, and is not used for building or making things because of its knots!
· Fruit (cone): Almost all of the cones on a blue spruce get to 2-4 in. long. They are light brown to yellow. The cones have pointed jagged tips!
· Leaf: The leaf of a blue spruce grows to be 3/4 to 1 1/4 in. long, it is yellowish-green to blue sometimes white. The needles are sharp/pointy and they have a bitter, acidic taste.
· Uses: The blue spruce is used as an ornament; it also makes a good Christmas tree!
· Animals that use it: birds and small rodents!
· Modern day uses: not used for anything except for Christmas trees and decoration because of its knotty bark!
