TREASURE HUNT

Once there were four kids that decided to go on a treasure hunt. One day after the kids got home for school they had all summer to do a treasure hunt. It was a summer vacation. The girls gathered up all of their stuff to go on a treasure hunt. It would take them three weeks to go on the treasure hunt and come back. They had enough money to go there and come back.

The girls left the house at five thirty in the morning. When they got to the airport they didn’t have to wait long to leave. The girls were going to fly to Minneapolis, Minnesota. When they got there it was so beautiful out side. It was a bright sunny day with a couple of clouds in sight. Dew was still on the grass still getting melted off by the sun. it was like you were dreaming about it, but you weren’t dreaming about it.

Amanda got out the map she found in her great grandpas hat[ her great grandpa died two years ago].

“ The map said to go east 750 feet they walked and walked”

“1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8….750 there done that” said Allyson in a exhausted voice.

” Now we have to go north 150 feet” said Taylor.

“1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9….150” said Allyson. The girls went all through the night counting footsteps.

Early in the morning they came to a river with a cottage on the other side. “Almost there” said Amanda tired and relived.

one hour later they had taken a nap in the old cottage. When they woke up the girls went on counting footsteps.

“ 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9…90” Taylor said excitedly.

“ Look over there a tree with a –x- on it” said Allyson while she was running over to the tree.

Couple minutes later the girls started digging up the treasure. Then all of the suntan they heard laughing from behind them. They stood there until the people came up and stared at them.

“ It’s our treasure stay back,” said Amanda in an angry tone of voice.

“ Wait just one minute,” said some one the closest to them.

“ You do know that the treasure don’t you?”. “ FAKE” they exclaimed. “ Ya it’s just a fake treasure hunt for the amusement park down the road” said some one in the back.

“ Great just great” said Taylor.

“ All that work for nothing” said Allyson. “ Might as well go home” said Amanda. ONE WEEK LATERAll the girls got a good laugh about the treasure hunt. They said that they wouldn’t ever go to fall for that again. Ring, ring went the phone.

“Hello” said Allyson.

“ Hi, Allyson I just wanted to know if you, Taylor, and Amanda, wanted to go and look for some treasure that my brother said was under my great uncles house,”
buzz went the phone.

“ Who was that?” asked Amanda. “ She wanted to know if we would want to go on another treasure hunt in her old great uncles house”.

“ I hung up on her.
