This story takes place at my house. It is a green and white trailer house. There is a basement with four bedrooms. Upstairs there’s two more bedrooms.

I have a hamster named Sweety. Sweety is a purebred Teddy Bear hamster. Her fur is brown with black tips. I got her from “The Zoo,” a pet store in Polson. My other hamster died because she was left in the sun. Her cage is green with a pull out tray at the bottom. It has an attic and a ladder leading up to it. Her food dish is white and rectangular. Her water bottle hangs on the side of her cage. For bedding I give her cotton, cloth, or toilet paper.

For exercise I put her in her hamster ball. Then I set her on the floor and let her run. I lost her three times. Twice her ball popped open. The third time she fell down the stairs, and broke her ball. Her all time favorite thing to do is dig. I start a hole in the sand pile, then let her dig her little heart out. When I can’t reach her anymore I tear the hole apart to get her. Then start a new one for her.

In August 2003 my hamster had a litter of eight. There were four light ones and four dark ones. Unfortunately one of the light ones died. So there is one orange, three brown, one gray and three white. They all sold for $7.50.

My brother Austinn has a golden hamster too. My brother Aspenn has a Long Haired Teddy Bear hamster. Sweety loves Aspenn’s hamster. I will have Sweety for the rest of her life. When she passes I might get another hamster.

My name is Amanda Lynea Anderson. I enjoy to hang out with my friends; Autumn, Katrina, Taylor, and Allyson. I also enjoy camping with my dog Kiya. In the summer time I take my hamster Sweety out to dig and walk around.
