Cadwell Viewer

Jonathan W. Cadwell of North Reading, Mass. patented a new style of revolving stereoscope on January 6, 1874 # 146164. The main feature was that the card holders revolved around a central axle instead of using a belt as most others did. The eye piece and hood could be extended and positioned to the users desires. The stereocope was made in several styles and was quite popular.
