Engine:

This is a late 1969 BMW 2002 that was originally titled as a 1970.  I bought the car in 1994.  In the spring of 1999 I decided to completely redo the car.  After a great deal of work the car is totally rust free and the following modifications were made.

JE aluminum forged pistons with Total Seal rings
TEP head with S/S valves
TEP header with S/S pipes and S/S exhaust
MSD Ignition with Pertronics mag' pickup
45 DCOE Webers with S/S Cold Air Intake, S/S hard fuel lines and S/S braided flex lines
Custom fabricated S/S strut brace
5 speed transmission
Urethane motor and transmission mounts
3 core radiator

Suspension/Brakes/Driveline:

Bilstein Sport Shocks
H&R springs
Urethane bushings all around
Ireland Engineering front and rear sway bars
Adjustable front castor and camber
15" Panasports (15x6x29mm) with Bridgestone Potenza RE750 tires (195/50/15)
Front big brakes and rear disc brakes
5 speed transmission and 3.91:1 LSD

Interior/Exterior:

320is Recaros with rear seat upholstered to match
Schroth 4 point harness with S/S harness bar
Momo Competition steering wheel
VDO gauges - oil temp., oil press., voltage
Halmeter O2 meter
Blaubunkt stereo and amp
New carpet and black coco-mats
New weather stripping
Custom fabricated rear brace with Optima battery holder (in trunk)
Zender front air dam
Zymol Carbon

Auto Cross:

I've been attempting to put the little monster to some use and started auto crossing with the Ozark's Mountain Region SCCA chapter.  It's a lot of fun trying different adjustments on the car.  I'm not the fastest guy out there but I do enjoy working on my driving and I get a lot of compliments on the looks.  Albeit the competition is a little thin in FSP, I did manage to win the FSP class in 2004.
