Of course we should be appalled

They are trying to sell us our own earth

These modern day Pharaohs

Perched in their temples

Sleeping like mummies in their pyramids

Preparing for their eternity

In a world without fish


While building their pyramids

We've crushed our own legs

Now we move in rolling cages

Mouthing our rage

Embalming ourselves in fixatives of power

Dismantling the foundation

Of our only home as we go
