Is hang gliding safe?

Hang gliding is a high risk sport. How much risk you face is entirely up to you.  We can help you enjoy hang gliding while making it as safe as possible.  How do we do that?

1. We offer training through a course that is outlined and approved by the USHPA.
    
2. We only use our equipment, which is in excellent shape.  Most of it’s brand new. The gliders we train on are the industry accepted standard, single surface Falcons.  These gliders are manufactured by WillsWing.  Please see their web site for more information.
    
3. First high-altitude flights are preceded by one or more tandem flights.  Doug is the pilot, the same instructor who works with you on the training hill.
    
4. First high-altitudes are always done with radios, so you'll have someone telling you that you're looking good!
