The music scene in 1985 was dominated by the sounds of Madonna, Phil Collins and Lionel Ritchie so who in their right mind would form a Blues band? Only a small group of dedicated guys with a deep respect and pure love for the soulful sound that is the root of all modern music. The Pontiac Blues Band has gone through a few changes in their first twenty years but one thing remains unchanged: their reverence for the pure, sub intellectual communication of emotions that is the music. The songs in this collection are snapshots taken from various periods of the band's history. Many of the tracks were recorded from live performances, rehearsals, or are outtakes from recording sessions but the attitude and love for the music that have kept the Pontiac Blues Band going strong for over twenty years shines through.
