NEWBORNS!

The proud parents, Nancy and Mike Schweissguth would like to announce the birth of their new baby, THE FABRIC SHOP. Weighing in at about 700 bolts of quilting/craft fabric, polar fleece, and decorator fabrics. Mike and Nancy are proud of giving birth to this new store, and promise to raise it well and nourish it to grow into a healthy full-grown store! The proud grandparents and aunts have also been working to help raise this new baby. Thanks to them, she will be thriving.

Opening Day

On a cold and very rainy April morning, THE FABRIC SHOP opened its doors. April 2, 2007 will mark the calendar of the birth of our new store. With little to no advertisement, the store opened to let all the curiosity seekers in. Word spread fast, and there has been a constant flow of fabric shoppers since. Business has been going GREAT! A lot of fabric has been cut, and projects underway.

GIVE ME A SIGN

Identification for our store location is still underway. We are working with sign makers to apply our logo and name to our building, along with signs closer to the street. But for now, keep a close eye out. We are located at 1170 W. 5th St in Washington, MO. We are at the west end of 5th St close to the Elks Lodge, directly behind Paint-N-Place, the Porter paint store. If you are heading West, it will be on your left. There is one banner with our name pointing to our store. The building has cream siding and sits on a small hill. Parking is available on the south side of the building, equipped with handicapped spots. Otherwise, there is other parking on the north side of the building, just down below the building. PLEASE COME BY AND VISIT!

A Classy Place

As soon as possible, classes will be scheduled and available to offer. Keep your eyes open in the newsletters where class schedules will be posted. Classes will include; quilting, youth sewing, clothing repairs, interior decorating, interior sewing. These are a few to start. More will be coming!

12-MONTHS OF CHRISTMAS

This is perfect for the person who can't get enough of Christmas, like me. This is a club that will feature once a month, make-it and take-it projects for Christmas. This will be held on the 24th and 25th (just like Christmas) of every month.   Items made can be used for gifts, or gifts to give to you.  Announcement with details will follow as soon as available.
