The rumors are true!  Yes, The Fabric Shop is moving.  We will be relocating to Main Street in Downtown Washington!!!  The store building will be just down from Droege’s, across the street from Ruthie’s, and caddy corner from The Bank of Washington.  My ancestry will be catching up with me in the new building.  This building was originally The Rombach Bakery when it was built, and I was a Rombach.  My father spent much of his childhood in that building.  It was my father’s grandfather that started business there as a bakery many years ago.  I just wanted to share that little bit of history.  I’m very excited to relocate to where my family began.  I hope to do them justice.

Anyway, we are hoping to be moved in by the middle of November, just in time for Christmas.  I’ll keep you posted on actual dates.  I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.  The new location is sure to service us and our customers  better with more space and a better location.  We look very forward to being there.
