Our Instructors

Sally Hader
Experience is what you are looking for in an instructor, and that is exactly what Sally has plenty of. Sally has been a wealth of information to me and my store, and a jewel to have around. The best part about Sally is her personality. You couldn't ask for a better learning experience than from her. Sally has been sewing since she was 10 years old, and qulting since her retirement in 2001. Soon thereafter, Sally purchased a long-arm qulting machine and has been benefiting may of our quilting friends with her talents. You will lover her like I do. Don't miss out on broadening your quilting knowledge with Sally!

Shirley Thoms
Our latest class instructor is Shirley Thoms. Shirley started sewing in 1964 and has been hand sewing since 1980! Some of you may know Shirley as an instructor with the Piecemaker Quilt Club. Shirley loves her hobby and takes many classes herself to keep current on all the new things in quilting and sewing. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. We look forward to many enjoyable classes with Shirley.

Diana Harrison
It has been my pleasure to know Diana since childhood. She is one of the sweetest people I know. Being a former junior high school Home-Ec teacher lends her ability to handle kids in a very professional/caring manner. You will never meet anyone like Diana again, and will never want to have a class with any other teacher other than her. Make sure your kids get their first sewing experiences from Diana!

Cynthia Strelkoff
If you are looking for a person with a lot of knowledge in quilting, you are looking for Cynthia. Quilting is pumped through the veins of Cynthia. Quilters should not miss out on the opportunity to take her classes. It is also fun to discover all the pleasant surprises that Cynthia has to offer with her years of experience, quilting or non quilting.

Celeste Highberg
Every beginning quilting shop should have a Celeste. She is the answer to a prayer. Not only is her knowledge of quilting incomparable, but she also has the personality it takes to teach quilting. Her knowledge of quilting is beyond an expert level. I am fortunate to have her teaching in my store. Celeste quilts because she loves it!

Laura Filla
Dynamic would be a word to describe Laura.  You will never have so much fun in any other class.  Sewing shouldn’t be something non enjoyable, that is why you would want to learn from Laura.  Laura has many years experience in sewing/alterations/tailoring.  She knows it all!  The only problem with taking Laura’s classes, is that your side will hurt from the laughter that she instills.  Everyone loves Laura, and you will too.

Rose Monzyk
Rose Monzyk is a very classy lady who comes to The Fabric Shop with years of experiencing in fashion sewing, alterations, and teaching.  Having much experience in teaching classes, she is a valued asset to the store, and  the students she instructs.  I look forward to working with Rose, and I’m certain you will too.
