Groundhog Project 2002

     Our class participated in the Groundhog Project 2002.   We choose the name, Rascal for our groundhog.  Here is a picture of Rascal.

     Our parents got involved with our groundhog project also.  They helped us decide if Rascal would be able to see his shadow.  Here in Coleman, Wisconsin Rascal did not see his shadow.  That should mean that we will have an early spring!!

     Our class recorded weather data each day for 6 weeks.  It was interesting to see that our school in Coleman, Wisconsin was the only school from our team that had 1 school closure!

     We sent Valentine e-cards to all the other classes on our team.  We really enjoyed reading the cards the other classes sent us.  Mrs. Brown had us look on the map to find the states that the cards came from.

     On Wednesday March 20 we have to decide if spring did come early or not.  Check back for our answer!
