Can Iraq Become a Democracy?
Task
As a group, your team will need to complete the following objectives in order to successfully report to the president:
1. Research the philosphical fundamentals of democracy as they were spelled out by the Ancient Greeks
2. Research the cultural challenges presented by the current situation in Iraq
3. Develop an answer to our focus question, "Can Iraq become a democracy?" If your group determines the answer is yes, explain how. If your group determines the answer is no, explain what the well-reasoned alternative course should be.
