Hixon Forest - La Crosse

February 3 Conditions: Good.  The road is a little icy, but the skiing in the woods was very good. Did not ski on the golf course. Trail conditions were much better than we thought it would be. (skinnyski.com)
Human Powered Park - La Crosse
(NWS skycam link)

Feb. 16 - I broke trail Friday and took several laps today, so there is a good track set.  There was even enough snow to take the big glade down from the fir trees to the bottom of the coulee; usually that trail is far too steep and narrow.  Excellent conditions! (Junior Francis)(click for pictures and video posted in December on Youtube)

Coulee Experimental Forest - Barre Mills Jan. 9 - Firm and fast. Icy, transformed snow. About 2 to 4 inches of base survived the thaw. No rocks, a bit of leaf and needle litter, dog and coyote poop. I groomed the skating trail and after about 4 passes with the groomer teeth down, a pretty good ski trail emerged .(skinnyski.com)
Perrot State Park (Trempealeau, WI) Jan 24 - The area received some snow this week. The cross-country ski trails were last groomed and tracked on Tuesday, January 22, and are in good condition.(Perrot SP web site)
