| February
3 - Conditions: Good. The road is a little icy,
but
the skiing in the woods was very good. Did not ski on the golf course.
Trail conditions were much better than we thought it would be. (skinnyski.com) |

| Human Powered Park - La Crosse (NWS skycam link) |
Feb. 16 -
I broke trail Friday and took several laps today, so there is a good
track set. There was even enough snow to take the big glade down
from the fir trees to the bottom of the coulee; usually that trail is
far too steep and narrow. Excellent conditions! (Junior Francis)(click for pictures
and video posted in December on Youtube) |
| Coulee Experimental Forest - Barre Mills | Jan. 9 - Firm and fast. Icy, transformed snow. About 2 to 4 inches of base survived the thaw. No rocks, a bit of leaf and needle litter, dog and coyote poop. I groomed the skating trail and after about 4 passes with the groomer teeth down, a pretty good ski trail emerged .(skinnyski.com) |
