PRICE CEMETERY
Price Cemetery is located in Perry Township,
Johnson Co., AR, off JC Rd 50, approximately one and one-half miles south
of Hagarville. The cemetery is surrounded by a chainlink fence and maintained
by The Price Cemetery Association. Access is through private land.
It is the burial place of John Sawyer Price, pioneer settler of Pope and
Johnson Co., AR. Most of the approximately one hundred burials are
descendants or connections of the Price family. The first marked burial
is that of Evaline Price Carey, daughter of John S. Price and wife of Caleb
Carey. Her death occured in 1862.
Decoration Day is the first Sun. in May,
2:00 p.m.
