VIRGINIA

ZJF-4460 - Previous Standard Issue
Issued 1993-2002.  New issue commemerates the 400th anniversary of the settlement of Jamestown and, thus, Virginia.  It looks just like the current issue, except it has the tagline along the bottom in red italics:  "1607 (Bolt) 400th Anniversary (Bolt) 2007".  I am seeking one for my collection.

LZ-6649 - Cardinal Optional
First issued 1992

1353TK - Wildlife Turkey Optional

9144 - Wildlife Eagle Optional

AAN-3029 - Mountains to Sea Optional
This was the first of Viriginia's many optional plates in 1992.

WASHINGTON

146-KHA - Current Standard Issue
This modified version first appeared in 1998.  How do I know?  It was right when I moved here and I decided I like the old version better.

05396 - Stadium Optional Issue

616-HRI - Previous Issue
In 1987, a version of this base was introduced with "Centennial Celebration" written along the bottom.  It was removed in 1991 and this base was issued from 1991-1998.

AOM 050 - Early 1960s base

DBM 258 - Current Issue

First issued in 1982.  An earlier version, similar to this base (1976 to this base) had a baby blue outline around the background state shape.

WISCONSIN

908 BSV - Current Issue
First issued in 2000.  Simple changes over previous base:  black dies in place of red, change in color and sizing of designs on top and bottom.  Apparently, they were going to radically change the license plates with this base, but due to public outcry, an only slightly changed base was issued.  Also, I just noticed the cutesy American flag sticker over the validation sticker.  Can't explain it, but I'll take it off.

RSF-564 - Previous Issue
Red dies started in 1987.  Early plates with red serials had wider dies.  These narrow dies started in about 1995.

AGX-976 - Early version of this base
Issued 1986-1987.  The dies were changed to red to avoid confusion with Illinois plates, which were blue on white.

U7035T - Wisconsin Sesquicentennial Optional
First issued in 1998.

WYOMING

19 5388 - Current Issue - Embossed Serial
First issued in 2000

2 53KU - Current Issue - Flat Serial
More recent versions have been flat.

3 5112 - Previous Issue
Issued 1993-2000

17 135AX - Centennial Standard Issue
Issued 1988-1993

1 511BJ - Older Passenger Issue
Issued 1983-1987.  Strangely, I always liked these and wanted one of these.  I guess they were kind of exotic, being one of the closest out-of-state plates to me when I was growing up in Northern Utah.

12 5473 - Older Passenger Issue
Issued 1977-1982.  This was one of, if not the first out-of-state plate in my collection growing up.  It's either this one or a blue on yellow Pennsylvania.
