WHAT'S AVAILABLE:
In the past, passenger and I believe five different optional bases were available. Current information states that Massachusetts is no longer selling samples of the optionals. I did just receive a testemonial from someone who was seeking info, and they sent a standard passenger plate, free. I also understand from another that these samples are primarily only issued for school groups and the like.

This basic style began in 1978 without "Explore" and without the state shape in the center. Also, the blue in the background was a bit softer. Slowly, it evolved into what you see here.

Issued 1989-1990. This had something to do with a governor's promotion of Minnesota. Not Ventura. That would've been "Xtreme Minnesota" or something like that.
