SUPERBLADE PRO

SET UP TUTORIAL

I highly recomend that you read this Tutorial all the way through before you begin setting up the SBP Presets.

This is another of my favorite filters and one that I understand pretty well. Unfortunately with this filter if you put a lot of presets in SuperbladePro it tends to make your Paint Shop Pro program crash. I am going to show you how to avoid this from happening. Since I discovered this I have not crashed once in Paint Shop Pro because of SBP. This is a great way for the beginer to start off. Some of you Pro PSPers out there can benifit from this as well. Let's get started shall we.

SuperbladePro must be installed into your plugin folder and working before you begin this tutorial. If you havent installed it yet and need to know how to install filters Click Here for my tutorial on how to install filters. If you have installed it properally and have located it in the PSP program, Continue on with this tutorial on how to set up the presets.

First off you want to make a new folder in your hard drive. Go to My Computer on your desk top then to "C" then to Program files. Make a new folder in program files and call it SBP Presets, or what ever you would like to call it. To Create the new Folder in the Programs Folder, simply right click and go to New then up to folder. Name the folder and that part is done. Simple huh! Leave this window open and make it smaller by clicking on the small box between the - and the X.

Now we want to go and open up our Super Blade Pro Folder and get the Presets that came with the Program and move them to our new folder. To do this we go to My Computer/C/Program Files/Plugins Or whatever you named your folder/SuperBladePro/Texture and Enviroments. Click on anyone of the Bitmap images or q9q and highlight it. Go up to Edit then down to select all. Now go back up to edit and copy. Close out this window.

Next we want to Click in the white part of folder we just created and make it make it the folder we are now working on. Go up to Edit/and down to paste. All those files from SuperBladePro have just been Transferred to you new folder.

Next let's create 2 sub folders in the new SBP folder, to organize your presets. I named mine Textures and the other folder Presets. Again this is your choice on what you want to call them.

In your Preset folder put in the q9q and q5q files. (We will talk about these two file types in a just a bit.) To do this just Click and drag into the folders they belong in.

In the Textures folder I put in the Bitmap images.

Now would be a good time to take a break. The next step is long and tedious, but well worth your efforts in the end.
