Kuntree Design'sPumpkin Patch TutorialPart 3
For this tutorial you will need to have
completed Part 1, and 2 have them saved in the PSP format. Please remember to
save your work after each step.
1.) Please open up your PSP Pumpkins. On your
Layer Palette right click and click on New Vector Layer just above your
background layer. It should be the second layer up from the bottom of the Layer
Palette.
2.) Set your foreground color on your Color Palette at
#4A594A and your background color set at #C2C7B5. Click on your Preset Shapes Tool
using these settings draw out an Rectangle shape
above the Main Pumpkin Image.
3.) Click on your object selector tool
then click on the Node Edit Tool on your Tool Options
window. Add 3 nodes to each side. Manipulate the nodes till you get a picket
sign shape that you like. When you are done right click and click on Quit Node
Editing. On the center node to the right rotate the sign at slight angle. You
can also push in and down on the outer nodes to get a smaller sign. When you are
satisfied with your sign shape click on Layer Palette, right click and Convert to
Raster Layer. Right click again on your Layer Palette and Rename Top sign.
4.) Duplicate your Top Sign Layer. Move under
Top Sign Layer. Right click on Copy of Top Sign layer and Rename Background sign.
5.) Go up to Selections/Select All. Selections/
Float. With your Paint Bucket tool and your
foreground color still set at #4A594A, Flood fill the background sign layer.
6.) Click on your Deformation Tool
. Adjust the background sign layer with the
Deformation tool till it looks something like this. Then click Apply on the Tool
Option Window.
7.) Create a New Vector Layer. Click on your
Preset Shapes Tool using the same settings as
before. Draw out a long rectangle shape for the post of the sign. Adjust the
Vector Node that will tilt the post at an angle that matches up with your sign.
If your post needs to be fatter or thinner then adjust those nodes as well at
this time. Right click on Layer Palette and Convert to a Raster Layer. Move
this Layer down below the background sign Layer. Right click again and Rename
this Layer Sign Post.
8.)Still on the Sign Post Layer. Go up to Selections/Select All. Selections/ Float. Go up to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and use these settings. Selections/Select None.
9.) Click on your Top Sign Layer. Selections/Select All.
Selections/Float. Apply same Inner Bevel. I hope you are remembering to save your work.
10.) Add a new Raster Layer, name it Stitching.
Set your background color on your color palette to null.
Click on your Draw tool With these settings draw a
frame just slightly inside your sign.
11.) Click on your Eraser Tool
using these setting begin to erase some of the line away that you just drew out.
12.) Click on your Text Tool .
Turn back on your background color on the Color Palette.
Right click on the background color square and change it to the dark green color that your
foreground color is set at. Here is the color number if that makes it easier
#4A594A. Now click on the center of the sign. Choose a Font
and size for font that fits your sign. Type in any text that you want on your sign. Make
sure it is set on Vector. Click ok. Adjust the Text with the nodes. Click on the Layer
Palette and right Click and Convert to a Raster Layer.
13.) Go to Effects/3D Effects/Chisel and use these settings.
14.) Click on your Layer Palette, right click and
Merge/Merge all visible. Right click again and click on Rename. Name it Sign.
Make sure this layer is under the Main Pumpkin image.
15.) Set your Color Palette for Foreground and
background colors to black. Add a New Vector Layer. Click on your Preset Shapes Tool
using these settings draw out a small circle shape
on top of your sign.
16.) Click on your object selector tool
then click on the Node Edit on your Tool Options
window. You can add some nodes if you need to shape a bird. This is what my
shape looks like. Manipulate the nodes till you get a bird
shape that you like. When you are done right click and click on Quit node
editing. You can adjust your bird shape with the center node. When you are
satisfied with your bird placement click on Layer Palette, right click and Convert to
Raster Layer. Right click again on your Layer Palette and Rename Bird.
17.) Add a new Raster Layer, name it eye. Change your
Foreground color to White. Click on your Draw tool
change the size to a 6 and dot an eye. Go up to Effect/Blur/Gassion Blur. Change
the radius to .75, Click ok.
18.) Add a New Raster Layer. Set your Foreground
color to Black and your Background color to #E3770D. With your Draw tool
change the size to a 1, then draw a little triangle for a beak. Go to your Layer
Palette and move this layer to the bottom of the bird layer.
19.) You can now Merge/Merge all visible.
Congratulations you are done!! Wow you did it!! Wasn't this the longest tutorial. *S* You can Tube or
save this Pumpkin in your favorite format.
