Kuntree Design's
 Frame Tutorial
~ Page 4 ~
Flood Fill User's
Select your color picker tool and run it over the image and choose a color that
is in the image that you like for your frame color. I choose #8FA196.
Select your flood fill can and flood fill in the area with the marching ants.
Go up to
Selections/modify/Contract. A window
will pop up, put in the number 25 in the box. Click ok. The marching ants
should have moved in 25 pixels towards each other. Leaving you with four
triangle Like shapes.
Hit the delete button on your Keyboard a couple of times. The triangle shapes
should open up the Background image so you can see it through the Triangle shapes.
Go up to Selections/Selections none. The marching ants should now be gone.
Select your Magic Wand with these settings and click inside
the frame area.
Go up to Effects then down to 3D Effects and over to Inner bevel and use these settings. Click
on Ok to apply.
No go up to Selections/Selections None.
Click on your Layer Pallet and switch from Layer1 to Background Layer. It is important
that we are on the Background Layer. You can turn on your Layer Pallet by Clicking on the
red and blue Paper looking Icon at the top of your screen in PSP.
On this next step
I encourage you to be creative. You can get great effects by going to
Effects/Texture Effects and using just about anything in there. Have fun and
play. If you do not like it then you can always hit your Ctrl "Z" button and try
again till you get something that you do like. You can also flood fill the background layer
and then apply a Textured Effect. Remember Play and get to learn what those Effects and tools do.
On my opening Image I choose Mosaic Glass with these settings.
Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All Flatten. Then File/save in the format you
like.
Here is what my finished Image looks like.
I hope that I didnt confusse you. If
You have any problems please feel free to Email me. I would love to see what
you came up with. I hope you enjoyed doing
this tutorial, as much as I did creating it. :)
