 Frame Tutorial
~ Page 2 ~
Grafix intensive please allow to load.
Go up to your task bar and click on window. See
where it says duplicate, click on that. Repeat.
Close out the original, (or save it to your hard drive if you like). Now you
should have two images that say image 1&2.
We want a square image so we are going to have to resize these two images,
to 300x300. To do this we go to Image then down to resize. Make sure that Pixel
is dotted. Type in 300 in both the height and width windows. Go down to
maintain aspect ratio and make sure it is checked. Click ok.
Set the forground and background colors set on white. If you are
not going to use my SuperBladePro preset or another Preset, then the forground color can be of your
choice. That you can flood fill the selections in later.
Make sure you are on Image 1. Minimize Image 2 we will get back to it later.
The window at the top of Image 1 should be blue in color and Image two should be
greyed out. The colors help you to know what image you are working on.
Go to Effects/Geometric Effects/Circle.
Now we want to use our magic wand
Tolerance=O
Feather=0
Sample merged Unchecked.
With your magic wand and click in the white part of the image.
Next we go up to Selections/Invert. Then back up to Selections/Modify/contract.
In the box that pops up put in 2 and click ok.
Now on that same image go up to Edit/copy. Then back up to Edit/Paste/
Paste as a new Image. You can now close out Image one.
We are now going to resize what should be Image three now. So go up to Image/Resize. We are going to Check the maintian aspect ratial box, and go back up to where it says Percentage of original. We want to put in 75% the other window will automatically set at 75% too. Click ok.
Go back up and do Edit/Copy. Minimize the image by clicking on the - sign in the upper Right hand corner of the graphic. ( You probably will not need this image agian, but in case something happens it is still there.)
Click on image 2. Then go up to Edit/Paste/As a new
layer. It will center it for you.
Now when you look on your layer pallet you will see two layers.
Background and Layer 1. Make sure you are on layer 1. Again you can tell because
it is blue or highlighted.
Using your magic wand, again with the same setting as before. Click any place
on you image, but not the Circle. The Marching ants should now be around the
circle and edges of the image.
Click on the next button below to continue to page 3.
