| Special Education Classes: |
The center has nine classrooms with
state-of-the-art technology and equipment for use in the educational
programming of all clients. The classes are taught by certified
special education teachers who are assisted by para-professionals.
The classes are taken on field trips into the community at least
once a month. The environment of the Snoezelen Room provides for
relaxation and sensory stimulation.
|
| Communicative Disorders: |
Communicative Disorders provides evaluations and therapy
programs for clients with speech, language and/or hearing problems.
In addition to the more customary type of therapy for speech
disorders and developmental language delay, many clients profit from
training using alternative and augmentative forms of communication.
|
| Occupational Therapy: |
Occupational Therapy services include
evaluation and training in the areas of fine motor function,
sensorimotor function, activities of daily living, oral motor
function, mobility, and adaptive equipment. Correct positioning is
evaluated for function and to prevent or decrease orthopedic
deformities.
|
| Physical Therapy: |
Physical Therapy endeavors to meet a
person's physical, mental, and emotional needs. Primary emphasis
is placed on improvement of physical capacities for functions in
every day life. We assist, train, and use adaptive equipment to
help our clients reach their maximum potential, thus increasing the
quality of life.
|
| Transition/Inclusion Training Program: |
This program is designed to assist in minimizing the student's
transition from the school service system to the adult service
system by providing training in vocational skills, community based
job training, community based activities, post-secondary
involvement, and daily independent living skills.

| Adapted Physical Education: |
Adapted Physical Education provides a diversified program
that incorporates a variety of individual programs for physically
disabled students. Programming focuses on the development of physical
and motor skills necessary for activities of daily living and
