this an error? Lorenzo showed up on the 1870 census in Michigan with
two children Edwin 10, and Hattie 8. Also Julia 19, and Charles 1
1/2. I would appreciate any information as to what happened to Electa
Parsons and Carrie. Also was Julia from Lorain Co. too? This

STEVENS, STEPHENS, SAGE, MADDRON
I am looking for any information on the family of Sylvester S. STEVENS
(3xGrGrandfather),
who in the 1850 Census was living in Huntington Twp. with
wife Elizabeth and children.
(Help with Maiden Name/Parents would be GREATLY Appreciated)
Sylvester and Elizabeth were both born in NY as were the older children;
they apparently migrated to Ohio in the 1840's (My 2xGrGrandfather
Simeon S. was born in Ohio in 1843) and then moved to Buchanan Twp.
in Berrien Co., Michigan
after 1850. Ann E. STEVENS, Born 1831, in NY married Luther
SAGE, born 1825 in Ohio. (I found
Luther in 1850 Census in Huntington Twp. living with a 17 year old
female, Mary Sage, born in
Michigan--wife or sister?) I also have located in Old Huntington
Center cemetery records a burial
for Edmond Sage, son of L. & A.E., on Dec 7, 1852, age 7m 10d.
Ann and Luther Sage also moved
to Berrien Co. and are buried in the Stevens plot in Buchanan--along
with Syvlester and Elizabeth,
son Wm. R and wife Margaret, son Franklin (died in Civil War) and
son John (who died 2 days after
being discharged on the trip home), daughter Thankful Jane Tomlinson,
and my great-great grandparents Simeon Stevens and wife Susan Maddron.
(The family is in Berrien Co. in
the 1860 census and three sons served in Michigan regiments in the
civil war.) I would love to hear from any one who is working on these families?
Where did they come from in NY and why? Why did they decide to move
on to SW Michigan after about 10-15 years in Ohio? Does anyone know the
parents of Sylvester or Elizabeth? Mary Ellen Drolet, 13 N. 14th, Niles,

1882, wife of Abishai John WILSON, 31 May 1844 to 1 May 1917. They

and A.J. were married 20 Nov 1864 according to an obituary I found for
A.J. in my great grandmother's bible. (A.J. Wilson's second marriage 13
Mar 1883 was to my great grandmother's sister, Fanny M. STEEPER.) The problem
I have is with the maiden name of Mary Ann. According to the BRECKENRIDGE

WORCESTOR
Dear Lorain County Researchers:
I have a reference somewhere that Samuel Parker WORCESTOR was the
mayor of Norwalk or something like that, but I don't know if it was a town
in VT or OH. I don't know when the WORCESTOR family moved to your area.
S.P.Worcester is buried in Lorain County and if he was Mayor of Norwalk
he would have been in Huron County. I am just trying to place him as living
in one county or the other. Are there any histories of the local townships
that might place him or this family in your area and tell something about
them? Thanks, Connie Sims
