LAMB, Graham, (the Lorain Constitutional Nov 23, 1870)   (died Nov 17 1870)
MYSTERIOUS DEATH
On Thursday morning, Graham Lamb, an old resident of Black River, was found dead in the barn of Lee Field, situated a short distance from the house of the deceased.  The only particulars we can learn of the affair is that Mr Lamb had been to town the night previous, and started for home at an early hour.  Nothing was seen or heard of him until the next morning, when Mr. Field upon going to the barn to feed his horse, found him lying dead in the stall with bruises upon his body that would indicate that he had been kicked by the beast.

LAMB, Mary nee Kittle, (1835-1916)
Heart trouble from which she had suffered for seven weeks, combined with old age, caused the death yesterday afternoon at 1 0'clock of Mrs. Mary Lamb, pioneer resident of Lorain, at the home of her daughter, Orletta Ketchum, 1211 2nd Street. Mrs. Lamb, whose maiden name was Mary Kittle, was born in Celina, New York in 1835 and for 61 years, she had been a resident of what is now Lorain, although when she came here, there was only a little village tucked away in the wilderness and on the shores of Lake Erie.  She married Selah Lamb, who sailed for the lakes for many years.  Later he became a painter and followed that business for many years.  Four yearts ago, he died. Mrs. Ketchum was the only child born to them.  Mrs. Lamb is also survived by a brother, John Kittle, a resident of Kansas.  During her long residence in the city, the decedent made many friends who were sorry to learn of her illness and death.  Seven weeks ago, she suffered an attack of heart trouble and her age prevented a recovery.  She sank steadily from the time she was taken ill, and passed away at 1 o'clock yesterday.  The funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 1:40 o'clock.  The Rev N. Zulch of the Church of Christ will be in charge.  Burial will be made in Elmwood Cemetery.  Mrs. Lamb was a charter member of the "Old Friends Circle" and members of the organization will attend the funeral."

LAMB,  Selah, (The Lorain Times Herald April 3, 1912)
Selah Lane Lamb, one of Lorain's oldest citizens and a resident of the city  for nearly a quarter of a century. died yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lettie Ketchum of Second St. after less than a week's illness with pneumonia. Mr. Lamb, who was 85 years of age, was taken ill and  confined to his bed a week ago today.  His condition had been critical for several days.  Yesterday afternoon, he had become much weaker and the members of his family and aquaintances were hurridly summoned to his bedside.  Death came at shortly before 2 o'clock.
Mr. Lamb was born in Cicero, New York on March 13, 1827 coming to what is now Lorain in 1838.  Lorain was then known as the village of Charleston, and boasted of a few hundred inhabitants..  For many years, Mr. Lamb followed the lake sailing as mate on several sailing vessels.  Later, he left the lake and engaged in the occupation of house painting.  For about four years he had been retired.  He was a member of the Old Friends Circle of this city.  Two members of the immediate family survive, the daughter, Mrs. Ketchum and the wife, who has been living at the home of the daughter on Second Street..  There is one sister, Mrs. Louise Rose of Chicago who is the mother of of Mrs. E. C. Essex of Washington Ave.  Mrs. Rose is now in the city, having been called here by the serious illness and death of her granddaughter, Miss Myrtle Edna Essex.  Funeral services for Mr. Lamb will be held at 2:45 tomorrow afternoon from Parkside Chapel.  Rev A. H. Jordan, pastor of the Church of Christ officiating.  Burial will be made in Elmwood Cemetery."
