LORAIN COUNTY LINEAGE SOCIETIES

In 1985 the First Families of Lorain County was organized to identify and to celebrate the early pioneers who settled in our county prior to 1851.

In 2004 the Settlers of Lorain County was formed to identify and honor those early settlers who populated our county between 1851 and 1876.

The hard work and perseverance of these men and women was instrumental to the development of Lorain County. We also honor the descendents of these hardy pioneers. Their painstaking research and careful documentation promotes an interest in the history of Lorain County and provides a valuable record for future generations.
