Membership

Membership in Lorain County Chapter helps to support this GenWeb page and includes a subscription to the Lorain County Researcher, our quarterly newsletter. The Researcher contains member's queries, articles of Lorain County genealogy, news of affiliate organizations and publications for sale.
Membership Dues are $12.00 for the calendar year, (Jan-Dec) per household.

Lineage Societies of Lorain County

Members are eligible to join one of two Lineage Societies of Lorain County provided that he/she proves that one or more direct ancestors lived in early Lorain County. The Ancestors are honored, and the Inductees are recognized at the annual banquet held each November.

Monthly meetings

Meetings are generally held the 2nd Monday of each month in the meeting room at theNorth Ridgeville Branch of the Lorain Public Library See Map (Avon Beldon Rd is SR 83)

Social Time: 6:30 pm; General Meeting and Program: 7:00 pm

Affiliate Organizations

The affiliate genealogy groups that meet in Lorain County include:

Black River Genealogists who meet the first Thursday of the month at the Lorain Public Library, 351 6th St, Lorain OH 44052

The Wellington Genealogical Group, PO Box 265, Wellington OH, 44090, who meet the first Wednesday of the month in the Town Hall at Wellington.
