COUNCIL NOTES

1) Two new “Festival” banners have been purchased with a combination of Music and Worship donated monies and undesignated Memorial Fund monies. These banners will be used throughout the year.
2) Sharon Gunderson has joined council as liaison to the Endowment Committee.
3) $500 was allocated for KFC (Kids For Christ) Wednesday night activities and food.
4) $2500 was allocated to the Evangelism Committee for costs of our 25th Anniversary Celebration.
5) Sound System Repairs completed. Costs were a $500 deductible of our insurance premium.
6) The Endowment Fund Balance as of January is $42,576 and contributions as of December were $32,175.

OUR LENTEN WALK FOR 2008

During Lent this year, we will meditate on two themes. On Wednesday evenings, we will center our thoughts in worship on the “Extreme” message of God’s sending His Son Jesus Christ. The weekly themes are as follows:
February 6 - “Extreme Need” Ash Wednesday with Communion
February 13 - “Extreme Commitment”
February 20 - “Extreme Sacrifice”
February 27 - “Extreme Mercy” with Communion
March 5 - “Extreme Glory”
March 12 - "Extreme Love"
March 20 - "Extreme Challenge" - Maundy Thursday
March 21 "Into Your Hands" - Good Friday Tenebrae

On Sundays, we will focus our minds on the Sabbath. In our busy world where we are constantly on the run, having our lives constantly being bombarded with noise and challenges, we need to follow the commandment and remember the
Sabbath Day.

March 2 - “Sabbath Time”
