Evangelism & Fellowship
The work of the Evangelism Committee has been to welcome all members and non-members to the Lakeside Community Lutheran Church, and to give them an opportunity for fellowship and renewal. This has been accomplished in the following ways
- Twelve new members have joined Lakeside this year with a new member orientation and reception on Sunday in May.
- A ten-week Alpha course was offered with 13 attending.
- With the Alpha course we have reached out to the area churches with an invitation to participate in the course.
- The Congregation Helpers have prepared 24-quart bags of chicken noodle and vegetable soup that is available to those who need a meal due to illness or other circumstances.
- This year we offered social fellowship through trips to South Pacific at the theater in Rice Lake, a trip to Lucius Woods for the Cabaret nights, and the Valentine Dinner at Schwans.
Appreciation is expressed to all members serving on this committee.
