Butte Falls, Oregon
School Day April 16 2008

Organized by Pvt. Hugh Simpson of the Battery who is also a teacher in the Butte Falls School District this annual event was this year a joint presentation of the Hardaway's Alabama Batter, the Cascade Civil War Society and the Thrown Together Band.

Students from 5th through 12th grade attended various stations covering different aspects of the Civil War. The stations were:

• Infantry
• Cavalry
• Artillery
• Civilian Life
• Flags of the War
• Medical
• Music of Period

The artillery presentation by the Battery with the help of some Yankee infantry took place at the firing range outside of town and included firing off our 3" ordnance gun which was a big hit with all the kids.
