A
talented, versatile musician and wonderful story teller, Kevin
has captivated crowds at festivals, concert halls, schools and libraries
in the United States, Canada and Europe. He has performed at the Big
Top Chautauqua in Bayfield, WI, the Duluth Entertainment and
Convention Center in MN, The Madison Civic Center in WI,
and the Midwest Renewable energy festival in Amherst, WI. His
performances are an extraordinary combination of music and narrative,
humor and drama, using traditional and original material that leaves
listeners profoundly satisfied. The stories and music that he has collected
from around the world resonate with audiences of every generation and
background. His original song, The Changes That We Make, drew this praise
from Pass It On magazine: "His thoughtful words are empowering for individuals
and communities." Kevin is accomplished on many instruments including
the violin, autoharp, guitar, piano and tuba. Many of these instruments
take a voice in the tales that he spins and lure his listeners into
active participation.

Besides
being a story teller and song writer, Kevin is also a playwright.
His original musical, "Forests," premiered at the Hunt Hill Audubon
Sanctuary and Nature Center in June of 1997 to standing room only
audiences. It was back again in 1998, and sold out before opening night.
His play, "The Adventures of Al" played to full houses at Hunt
Hill in June of 1999, and his musical, "Balance and Swing," funded
by a grant from the Kellogg Foundation, premiered in Shell Lake,
WI, March 2-5 of the year 2000, to sell out crowds, followed by an acclaimed
performance at the Wisconsin Association of Lakes Conference
in Stevens Point on March 10. The show ran again, to full houses, at
Hunt Hill, last June. This year "Forests" returns to Hunt Hill,
in June, as a puppet show.
