Welcome to the Synopsis Project!

The Synopsis - the land of nightmares.  The thing most authors HATE.   Harder to write than a 500 page novel.

So, how to tackle the monster?  If I knew, I'd tell you.   Honestly, when I submitted my second book to my editor and she told me that I could just send the manuscript and NOT write a synopsis, I was ECSTATIC!

I've often wondered how many perfectly wonderful manuscripts sit under the bed not because they are bad, but because the author didn't live up to the manuscript in the synopsis.  What a shame.

So, without further ado, here's what I've done.  I've put together some selling synopses.  Many of my author friends don't have to write them anymore so couldn't send them to me.  But here are a few.  They are mostly romance novels but not all.  Hope you enjoy them.  Links to the authors webpages (if available) follow each synopsis.

Also, here are some links to differing synopsis theories.  Help yourself.  Take what works for you, throw away the rest.
