We slowly see Kitty and Trent form a bond throughout the book, each story brings them together in a unique situation that deals very much with the harsh reality that neither wants to face. It doesn’t take long for Kitty to realize what she’d been missing in her life, but Trent is a little slow. His quick perceptions often help him make things right for them, but only after he’s learned an important lesson Trent learned to enjoy the passionate side of relationships, thanks to Kitty’s early instruction, but when she introduces him to her world, he meets the challenge head on. Subtle POV changes help tell the story through their eyes, not through mine. He’s uncertain that she’s thinking about his safety while Kitty isn’t sure he is the right man for her. After the trials Kitty puts him through that include a different style of BDSM play, more pain than he thinks he can possibly bear, and cross dressing fantasies that they both share, each comes to realize their place in the other’s world. |
