Caution:Horses in PDF format

Caution:Horses is the quarterly newsletter of the American Association for Horsemanship Safety.  It  began publication in 1996.  In 2000, it was expanded from 8 to 12 pages.  It contains useful articles about horsemanship, horse safety, and legal liability, as well as photos, charts and graphs.

Some of the articles are reproduced in text form on the horsemanship safety and legal liability companion web site: http://tarlton.law.utexas.edu/dawson/

You may download a sample copy of Caution:Horses in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. That means you can download and print out an exact duplicate of a "hard copy" of Caution:Horses, complete with pictures and graphics.

Instructions For Viewing Adobe Acrobat PDF Files

If you have never downloaded PDF files before, in order to do so you must first download a FREE copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader and follow the instructions for installation. We recommend that you upgrade to the Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0 if you have an older version.  Once you have downloaded and installed the reader, you can return to this site to download Caution:Horses.  It is inconvenient to have to download a reader, but worth it; besides, you have to do it only once.  Downloading a PDF file takes some time because of the formatting involved.  It also takes some time to print out a downloaded file on paper.  But, the wait is worth it because the result is nice.
