Dawson of the University of Kentucky stated that it has been proven conclusive that yeast culture can live and grow in the rumen.  This specific strain of yeast culture will increase both the rate and extent of digestibility therefore stimulating a high and consistent dry matter intake.  Other data has shown increases in the availability of amino acids such as Lysine and Methionine by 17% and 30% respectively.
