| 2005 Celebration will be May 14 If you do not have newsletter email for exact shedule. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE The Lodge will open at 10 am to give everybody a chance to enjoy all its facilities. Ribbon rosettes and tabletop flags will be sold. 11:30 to 2:00, hot dogs, chips and ice cream will be served. 1:30 to 3:00, you can learn Hardanger embroidery, rosemaling, or carving as you join some of our members ready to help you. Throughout the day you may play Whist or other card games, watch a video, just visit with others. The coffee pot is always full. 6:00, the flag-raising will kick off the evening program which will include comments on the day, musical numbers, folk dancing, bunads, the Norsemen and others. Gale Hatleberg will handle the flag raisings and David Elliker- Vagsberg with lead with his Hardanger fiddle. Following the program, Sonja Daughters will serve a light supper. Music for dancing will be provided by our own "Family Band". CHILDREN WITH PARENTS OR GRANDPARENTS ARE WELCOME To PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE AND TO LEARN A FOLK DANCE Wear your bunads, medals, rosettes, to add culture and color on this special Norwegian holiday. There is no charge for anything except the rosettes and flags on our Syttende Mai. |
