Mowich Lake is the largest lake in Mount Rainier National Park, and is located in the northwestern corner of the park.  A gravel road works its way up to the lake, which sits at an elevation of 4929 feet above sea level.  There is a small campground at the lake, and a nature trail that follows the shoreline.  Please take care when traveling along the shoreline as many areas around the lake have had to be closed off due to damage to the meadows.
The hike to Spray Falls is a relatively easy distance of 2 ½ - 3 miles, through a nice forest.  The hike is very easy and mostly downhill on the way to the falls.  Spray Park its self is about another mile beyond the falls, but is well worth the trip due to the scenery in the meadow.
