Step 1: Put a gold or silver bead on the hook, and insert the hook into the vise.
Attach thread, then add a tail of 5-7 Pheasant tail fibers. Next attach fine copper wire for a rib, and add the tinsel than wrap foward.
After the tinsel has been wrap to about mid shank, counter wrap the copper wire
foward,.as a rib. |
Step 3: Add the back material, then tie in 2-4 strands of peacock herl to create a
thorax, then tie it off. |
Step 4: Tie in a hen saddle hackle fibers on both sides of the fly for legs.
Trim the hackle butts, pull the back material forward and it down. Whip
finish and head cement. |
