The trail to Hidden Lake begins at the top of Logan Pass on the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park.  If you looking to get away from crowds than this trail is probably not for you, as it is very popular.  The trail is 1.5 miles long with an elevation gain of 460 feet.   The trail travels through meadows for a little while and then it crosses a snowfield till it reaches the top of the ridge.  After the snowfield, the trail flattens out and travels through sub-alpine meadows until the lake overlook.  Mountain Goats are a common sight in the meadows above the snowfield and make this hike worthwhile.   Hidden Lake contains Yellowstone Cutthroat and the outlet of the lake is closed to fishing to protect the spawning trout.
